Even after signing 8 players, AC Milan Women are still active in the market, bringing in reinforcements for Ganz’s squad.
As previously reported, Italian midfielder Greta Adami, after ten years at Fiorentina, is officially a new Milan player. The defensive midfielder signed with the rossoneri until 2023 and picked the number 8 shirt.
On her first exclusive interview to Milan TV as a rossonera, Adami talked about many interesting topics, including her ambitions with the team,
On her move to AC Milan:
“I'm very excited and I'm happy, I’m eager to restart. I needed new challenges, somewhere new I could restart, a new environment and I think I'm in the right place”
On her spell at Fiorentina:
“In Florence I spent 10 really beautiful years where, I won everything coming from nothing, from the rock bottom, so I will always remember my time there, however I needed to start again and I am really happy to be here, in this club, with so much history. It’s going to be a great season; I can't wait to get started.”
On the changes in the Women’s game:
“Those changes were very important, and affected everything: the organization, the structures and even the players, even the league has now become more attractive to foreign players, and those who arrive are much stronger now. I remember when I started in Florence I arrived in the evening, at 06:30 pm, to train and, of course, we have to take out gear with us. It was simply a passion and now it is becoming a job, and you’re provided with everything you need to, so you get to the field, you just think about playing. The structures are incredible, and there are now 3 or 4 times more people in the staff, it’s much more professional and therefore, it’s normal that even level of the league has improved.”
On the upcoming season:
“It will be a very challenging season because, even the other clubs have been reinforced as well, so I think it will be as fun as exciting season. I’m here to win, so I’m hoping we can win a piece of silverware this season”
On herself:
“I am not a very talkative person; I prefer my actions to do the talking. When I meet my teammates, I like to know them, understand each of them, their needs and to try to give it when they need at the right time, which can be maybe even a word, sometimes, but I rather take action.”
