To replace Hakan Calhanoglu who left to Inter on a free, AC Milan is still on the hunt for a new attacking midfielder to reinforce the squad before the start of the Serie A campaign.
Today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Frederic Massara as well as Paolo Maldini are keeping their options open by following several players. There is the idea of Julian Brandt of Borussia Dortmund.
As for Nikola Vlasic, the track is getting harder and more complicated because CSKA Moscow does not accept a loan with option to buy which is proposed by the club.
According to the same source, the goal for Milan is Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea. The dialogue with the player and his entourage is always alive. There is the approval of the player to the Rossoneri destination. But, the obstacle is that Milan are only willing to offer a loan with an option to buy while the Blues would like at least the obligation.
AC Milan, however, could unlock the negotiations in the last weeks of the market, especially if Ziyech did not receive other offers and if he pushes to make the move. At that point, Il Diavolo club leaders would offer an expensive loan fee in order to convince Chelsea to accept the buy-option.
