AC Milan have been moving in the race to sign Kaio Jorge from Brazilian club Santos for a while now. But, the insertion of Juventus changed the situation as they were more willing to put extra effort to secure the player's signing. He is now reportedly closer to join the Bianconeri.
After the Brazilian wonderkid, it seems as though the Serie A rivals have set their sights on another target of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
In fact, Juventus are said to be now in the race for the former Milan player and Chelsea outcast Tiémoué Bakayoko.
The newspaper reveals that if Locatelli were to remain at Sassuolo, then Juventus would accelerate the negotiations to sign the French player who spent last season on loan at Napoli.
Juve, writes Gazzetta, would postpone the purchase of Locatelli and are looking at Bakayoko as a temporary solution, for one season, before returning to talks with Sassuolo over the Italian midfielder next summer.
