Mattia Caldara is set to leave AC Milan. After his return from a disappointing loan spell at Atalanta, the 27-year-old centre-back is ready to change clubs once again as he is not part of coach Stefano Pioli's vision and project.
Venezia have been pushing to sign the former Juventus defender in order to strengthen their defensive line and prepare for the new Serie A season.
According to what Milanreports' editorial director Vito Angelè, AC Milan management have indeed reached an agreement with Venezia for the exit of Caldara. The transfer formula will be based on a loan with an option to buy inserted in the agreement.
It is agreed that Milan club management has agreed to help Venezia with Caldara's high wages. Il Diavolo will be paying part of the Italian's salary.
