Former AC Milan midfielder and legend of the club, Clarence Seedorf, spoke to the microphones of Tuttosport about the Rossoneri team in view of this season and had this to say:
"The league will be even more balanced than last season. The teams from third place down have all strengthened, but Inter and Milan still have something more in my opinion. We need to see how Milan will manage the two commitments: because if on the one hand it is nice to be back in the Champions League and therefore it will be a tournament to be faced with great ambitions, even winning a Scudetto for a Milan fan would not be so bad. Inter have had to lose important players, who are not easily replaceable, but they are still an excellent team. Juventus? I think they have full bellies. That club is rebuilding, it has had its cycle, but with what they have won they can afford to take some time to start winning again. That said, Juve will always remain competitive."
On Paolo Maldini's work:
"I talk with Maldini from time to time. Milan are in good hands. Milan are building something solid, the choices are clear and then I always consider the mix of young and old players to be fundamental. Paolo sees it the same way. We have Ibra and Milan signed Giroud this summer. I never believed in age. In the sense that there is a biological age and then there are the facts that are the tests that show what condition you are in. For example, I had better figures at 34 than at 26, when I was playing for Milan. And if these data are not important for those who have to make the technical choices, it is another matter. Ibra and Giroud have held up well throughout their careers, so it's easier to continue. When you have people like Ibra and Giroud, in the team you also cover an aspect that others do not have or have not yet experienced."
