Star of French club Brest, playing in Ligue 1, Romain Faivre, was reportedly close to completing a move to AC Milan in the previous transfer market window of the summer. However, an agreement could not be reached between the two clubs involved.
The player has broken the silence on the failure of signing for AC Milan in an interview granted to Telefoot:
“A club like Milan, Paolo Maldini calling you is always a pleasure. I was flattered by the thought of reaching such a goal: with my family we had decided to go to Milan.”
“I decided with my family to do what I did”, continued Romain Faivre, “not to fight (with the club), but more as a precaution. I didn’t want to compromise the possible transfer to Milan. We are disappointed.”
