AC Milan will be play its first Champions League match after a long absence and the fans are excited, especially with the good run of form that the club has been on for some time now.
Coach Stefano Pioli has a hard task in front of him, Champions League games are never easy, of course, especially if the team on the other side of the pitch is Liverpool.
As reported by Tuttosport in today's edition, the offensive department is - at the moment - the most crowded and that puts Pioli in a tight spot to choose the starters for tomorrow's clash at Anfield stadium.
In the attack, there are the experienced powerhouses Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud, and the pacey Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic who could always create the difference. Only two will start from the beginning at Anfield but the others will be ready to the match later.
For AC Milan's coach, Pioli, it will be definitely difficult to choose in the striker position between Giroud and Ibra. But, it seems that Pioli is leaning in favour of choosing the Swede veteran right from the start against Jurgen Klopp's men.
As for Olivier Giroud, who recovered from Covid and is back to training at Milanello already, knows the English football and is no stranger to playing at the Anfield, Pioli could rely on his services as an extra weapon later during the game.
