AC Milan lost 3-2 against Premier League side Liverpool at the Anfield stadium in group B of the UEFA Champions League fixture. Stefano Pioli’s boys fought to play with their own usual style, but Jurgen Klopp’s side had much more pace, stamina, and focus which won them the game eventually.
La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote that Milan’s best player on the pitch was Mike Maignan as he deserved a 7.5 rating.
The worst player on the pitch, says the newspaper however, was Theo Hernandez whose defensive duties and attacking contributions were missed. The French full-back received a 5.5 mark.
Captain Davide Calabria ,Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud, and Sandro Tonali all shared a rating of 6.
Centre-backs Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori with midfielder Franck Kessié were crowned with a rating of 7 for their good shifts in the field.
Ante Rebic, who played well in the first half had a 6.5 while teammates Ismael Bennacer and Alessandro Florenzi shared the same rating as that of Theo Hernandez’, 5.5.
