A day before the match of AC Milan - Atlético Madrid at the San Siro for the Champions League matchday 2 in the group stage, Atlético Madrid's coach, Diego Simeone made sure to highlight the Rossoneri's qualities:
"It's always nice to go back to playing against a great team. Milan has a squad that has grown a lot in recent years. I also like the San Siro stadium. We know we are facing an important rival. They have dynamism and speed. But, we will play calmly anyways."
On his team's morale:
"It is high. It is a mature group and everyone knows the dynamics of football. Tomorrow is a difficult match, but we will try to do our best and I know we can hurt them."
How do you rate AC Milan's progress?
"I concentrate on the present. Milan have excellent dynamics and did well in the away match in Liverpool. We will have to give our best."
The latest league games:
"In the last match the opponent tried to take away some space. Alavees forced us to create more plays. But in the match against Villarreal, we did well. We must continue to evolve."
On the recovery of Joao Felix, Koke, and Lemar:
"As I have already said, we have a large and quality squad. And I thank the club for the efforts made on the market. We must act accordingly based on how the game goes."
