AC Milan Femminile player, Laia Codina, granted an interview to the official channel of the club. Here are the Spaniard's words:
"We are a new team, so I think we need to work harder in every match and in every training session to have a good season."
What kind of mentality should the team have?
"We will have to face all matches in the same way, because all are important. We have seen that Serie A is very competitive, you need to work well all week to have a great match and eventually win it."
On the team's growth:
"We changed gear after the Champions League. As I said before, the season is still very long. We have to show that we are improving match after match and that this team is growing and has a future."
On her acclimatization:
"People are very nice and I have settled in very well. I am trying to improve my Italian to integrate more. I am very grateful for how they all welcomed me."
On Vero Boquete:
"I'm grateful to her because she shows up on the pitch and I'm always looking for her. There is a lot of understanding with her and she gives me a lot of comfort. She knows football very well and helps us on and off the pitch."
On the differences with Spanish football:
"In Spanish football there is an aptitude to focus more on ball possession, here instead you attack space when there is the possibility and above all you quickly search for the opponent's goal."
On Milan:
"Milan is a historic club. Who loves football appreciates Milan as a club and as a team. I'm really happy to be here. I think we will grow a lot in all aspects. The most important thing is that there is still a lot of room for improvement. I also really like the presence of so many new and international players. We see that there is greater ambition and desire to do big achievements", thus concluded Laia Codina.
