AC Milan could be set to make a big transfer operation to reinforce their midfield. However, there is competition from Spain.
Il Diavolo club managing directors Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini are always keen on finding great market opportunities. Now, they mainly focus on young talented players, but there are always exceptions if a useful player who is a little older and more expensive is available.
The idea, as reported by Calciomercatoweb.it is to sign Liverpool's experienced midfielder Naby Keita. The English club had purchased him in 2018 by paying around 60 million euros for his card to RB Leipzig.
The source explains that AC Milan and Juventus are both interested in the player's situation. Keita, in fact, was going to leave in the previous summer's transfer market window, but a move for him did not materialise. Spanish side, Atlético Madrid, are also in the player's trail, hoping to strengthen their midfield.
The Rossoneri and Bianconeri are willing to try for the Guinean 26-year-old player. But, it is clear that at least 40 million euros is needed. As for Keita's agent, he is willing to agree a deal that sees his client signing elsewhere.
