Atalanta coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, spoke well of AC Milan after his defeat against Stefano Pioli's men. Here are his words to the microphones of DAZN:
"We conceded a goal after 30 seconds and one at half-time. In the middle, we had opportunities to equalise. Then in the second half, a bit of mistrust took over and it was more and more difficult. Milan were always very good at restarting. The game went in the best way for them, but we could straighten it right away. We weren't lucky in some situations, like with Pessina. It's a bit like that, but there have been some good opportunities."
On Milan:
"Against Inter it was a more balanced match, while tonight's match was conditioned by the goal after 30 seconds. I saw a very strong Milan, however, very fast, with characteristics that are not available in Italy. Our characteristics? We have other characteristics, they like speed, if they have the possibility to play in the throw-in, they become dangerous. We could have equalised it, but that doesn't detract from the merits of Milan who really made a great impression on me."
