AC Milan reached the break by achieving 6 wins and 1 draw. Certainly a very good start for the Rossoneri who are placed second in the league after Spalletti's Napoli who have the full points after matchday 7.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to continue their work in the mercato by bringing good talents in order to bolster the attack. With the age and conditions of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a new name reappears on the radar.
According to a report from Calciomercato.com, River Plate's Argentine striker Julian Alvarez is on the managers' shortlist. The AC Milan club board continues to monitor his talent. The player was in their radar some time ago when there was a request of 25 million euros (amount of the buy-out clause).
Now, however, there is a different situation. Alvarez is only 1 year and a half away from contract expiry (December 31st, 2022), therefore, there is a possibility of signing the player on a discount price.
The source, though, points out that AC Milan is not alone in this race as Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Sevilla are all interested and even considering a move for him in January.
