Before signing with AC Milan, Antonio Mirante was training with Serie D side, Sorrento in order to stay in shape.
The former AS Roma goalkeeper was signed in order to replace Mike Maignan. After the forced stop of the French goalkeeper and Alessandro Plizzari, Milan were only left with Tatarusanu and that is why another goalkeeper was needed for the First Team.
Tuttosport got in touch with Mirante's trainer at Sorrento, Ulliano. Here are his words:
"Antonio is in perfect shape . From August he started working with me and he did it with great desire and professionalism. Moreover, he was already in excellent physical shape because in July he was working with a personal trainer. He also helped me a lot with the Sorrento goalkeepers."
