Legendary former player at AC Milan turned assistant manager, Mauro Tassotti, spoke about the Rossoneri club to La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's edition:
"I would not say that this with Porto is the last resort. Certainly not the very last. AC Milan are able to score 9 points in the last 3 games. At Porto the match is delicate. After all, the situation was delicate from the beginning, with Milan placed in the fourth pot. I think that Pioli's team is much better in terms of quality of play and players than many teams in the second pot, but these are the rules."
How should Milan face this Champions League game against Porto:
"These games help you grow, especially when your team is young. Continuing to Europa League would then be good? Staying in the Champions League would be better, of course, but also competitions of the Europa League would be useful in the growth path of a group that is young, it should not be forgotten."
Tassotti reveals his expectations from this team:
"Milan has its own physiognomy, the one that has guaranteed successes in recent times: I expect an aggressive and fast team, ready to play the game. I don't think Pioli will change the philosophy. I would go in this same direction, his ideas have produced results. I don't expect a Milan in defense, even if a lot depends on the opponents. Porto are difficult to face, good technique, good dribbling. Milan, however, have the strength to impose themselves."
