Against Porto, AC Milan lost in a bad way. There were not much chances to go off and the team was punished and suffocated by Porto's strong press.
Coach Stefano Pioli discussed the defeat and said these words the microphones of Sky Sport Italia. Here are his words:
"We lacked the clarity and management of the ball, we weren't technically precise and lucid in our choices, and at these levels mistakes are expensive. The absentees do not count, the team was competitive but we did not express ourselves as we wanted. We were not very precise in handling the ball, which we usually do not make mistakes."
Pioli continued:
"I don't think we weren't focused, we definitely were. In the second half Porto had an edge over us. I have already spoken to the team, I was honest: we didn't play for Milan and we deservedly lost, let's think about the next one right away, then we'll try to win a match in the Champions League in front of our fans."
