Matchday 9 of the Serie A for the Rossoneri was crazy and an absolute rollercoaster as Stefano Pioli and his team managed to grab 3 crucial points against Bologna away from home with a 2-4 result.

The match started with AC Milan attacking strongly as expected and Bologna sitting back and playing the counter-attacks. Rafael Leao managed to score the first goal as he confirms his quality and strength.

Then, Adama Soumaoro was sent off with a red card which put Mihajlovic's men in an even bigger trouble in minute 20. Fifteen minutes later, Davide Calabria scored the second goal for AC Milan with a very powerful strike that found its way to the net and Milan were in charge of the game until the end of the first half.

Second half of the game starts and Bologna entered the pitch with much motivation and strong-will. There was a lot of focus and AC Milan had no answer to two chances created by Bologna which led to the goal, first an own goal by Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the 49th minute then Musa Barrow scoring the equaliser in minute 52.

Bologna's midfielder Soriano, made a horror tackle on Ballo-Touré, VAR intervenes a red card was later showed to him, leaving the Rossoblu 2 men down. Despite the two expulsions, Bologna were even close to scoring again as they looked stronger.

What characterised Milan recently with Pioli is that they never give up. This match was no different for the red and black faithful. The team 'woke up' mentally and took charge of the midfield again, Ismael Bennacer scored the third goal in minute 84 then Ibrahimovic finally redeems himself and scores in the last few minutes of the game making it 2-4 for Milan.

It was certainly a very difficult game and there are many aspects to review and analyse for Pioli, his players and the coaching staff. However, credit to the boys who never gave up and kept trying. AC Milan, despite the injuries and difficult moments, show once again that they are made of steel and snatched 3 important points at a difficult stadium.
