Paolo Scaroni, AC Milan president does not hide the fact that Elliott will be open to sell the club sometime in the future.
The chairman granted the following words to the microphones of Newest Media:
"When you have a professional majority shareholder like Elliott, everything is professional. It is one of the first hedge funds in history, it has a great reputation even outside the US. There is a lot of professionalism both in terms of investment and in terms of of attention to costs."
The Italian executive continued:
"One day, Elliott will sell AC Milan, it is a part of their job. They are preparing for a new Milan which will be evaluated at the right price by a new owner."
Scaroni returns to talk about the urgent need for a new modern stadium:
"We need a new stadium, because this is the way to increase Milan's revenues. We have a project to build the stadium with Inter, we will play together. It will be the best stadium in the world, it will have a cost of about 650 million euros and will bring 3 thousand jobs during construction. It is not so much the jobs, which the city may not need now, but Milano does need another attraction, people will also come to see this new stadium that will be emblematic of how this city can be modern and can be at the top."
