AC Milan continues to collect useful results in the Serie A. In matchday 12, this is their 2nd draw. After Napoli's 1-1 against Hellas Verona, the Rossoneri have also finished the game with that same result.

The game started with Inter pressing well and trying to hit Milan hard. Soon enough, Franck Kessié makes a foul on Calhanoglu in the penalty area after holding the ball for too long and losing it. The former Rossoneri playmaker converted from the spot and even celebrated in front of his former supporters.

Calhanoglu's joy, however, was interrupted minutes later when Sandro Tonali whipped in a very good cross from a free-kick into Inter's penalty box which was accidentally hit by De Vrij past Handanovic.

The game continued to be difficult and with Brahim Diaz not making much of the desired impact due to playing on the right wing instead of being behind the striker, who was Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Another penalty was granted to Inter, after a foul from Fodé Ballo-Touré on Darmian. This time, Lautaro Martinez stepped up to take it. However, and luckily for AC Milan, Ciprian Tatarusanu made an incredible save and kept his teammates into the game.

The second half-time proved to be very difficult for the red and black faithful. Inter pressed very hard and even came close to a few scoring opportunities. Towards the end, though, after the entry of Rebic, Saelemaekers Tiémoué Bakayoko and Ismael Bennacer Milan showed more strength and quality as they also came up with their own dangerous opportunities. One of the most remarkable chances was perhaps the powerful shot of Saelemaekers which hit the post and Kessié who followed it up but it went wide of the goal.

Overall, it was balanced game. AC Milan suffered well and fought hard. Perhaps the game would have been different if Theo Hernandez were available. But, Stefano Pioli had to do with who he had available.

Il Diavolo team arrive at the break still first in the Serie A standings with Napoli and 7 points away from Inter. Now, it is time to rest, review the performances and prepare for the next challenges.
