AC Milan are monitoring some interesting players in the midfield position who can replace Franck Kessié. The former Atalanta midfielder has an expiring contract at the end of the season and a renewal sees far away from being achieved now.
According to what is reported by Milanese newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are considering the signing of Renato Sanches to replace their number 79.
The Portuguese midfielder who plays for Lille has a contract expiring at the end of next season. He wants to leave and AC Milan would be a welcome destination despite interest from Serie A rivals Juventus, AS Roma and Premier League side Arsenal who tried to sign him last summer.
From the player's front, there are positive signals for an AC Milan move. The Italian club management would have to spend a gross salary of 5.5 million euros to sign the 24-year-old Portuguese international, Renato Sanches, but these figures are not deemed too excissive.
