Vincenzo Italiano achieved a spectacular victory against AC Milan once again as he ended their unbeaten Serie A run. The 4-3 defeat for Stefano Pioli certainly hurts as it showed the difficulties the team was into against a focused and organised side. Despite playing many good attacking plays, the finishing could have been better. The defensive errors were also lethal.
As pointed out by Calciomercato.com, 'Milan repated less than they sowed". Simply put, Fikayo Tomori and Mike Maignan are way too important. Their absence becomes too heavy especially if their replacement is not as good. The alternatives (Gabbia and Tatarusanu in this case) do not have the same quality as Tomori and Maignan, with all respect to the Italian centre-back and Romanian goalkeeper's professionalism.
AC Milan directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are very attentive to the market opportunities that may be presented. The squad must be reinforced if there is a chance to do it as more quality is needed, clearly. The team may have to need a new centre-back, an attacking midfielder and perhaps even another prospective forward.

Kjaer: “Gabbia? He is down… Football can be brutal. Vlahovic makes you work”
