AC Milan continue to study some options in order to be able to reinforce the midfield. The club directors want more quality in the team of Stefano Pioli, especially if midfielder Franck Kessié were to leave. In this sense, there are some names being studied.

According to what is reported by SportItalia, Renato Sanches of Milan continues to be an interesting name on the agenda. His contract expires in June 2023 and he has been a goal for the Rossoneri for some time now. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are studying the feasibility of this operation with his agent Jorge Mendes, but for now they did not go deep into the talks.

Boubacar Kamara of Olympique de Marseille is also attracting the interest of the Milan club. His contract expires at the end of the season and is already appreciated by multiple other clubs such as Napoli and other Premier League clubs.

For the attacking midfield, Romain Faivre of Brest is still an interesting choice, he was a concrete target during last summer, but everything was delayed by request of the French club. The interest could be revived once again in January.
