Sandro Tonali spoke to DAZN after the loss to Sassuolo and had this to say regarding the bad performance and negative result:
"Today was a different match. We have not shown that we play for Milan. Today is the only game we haven't played for Milan. In the first half we created a lot but did not materialize and you pay for that. At the first mistakes they punish you."
"The victory in Madrid did not affect us, we were unable to react to the difficulties. We have to raise our heads as early as Wednesday."
Tonali continued:
"My ideal position? Last year I would have said in a three-man-midfield. But, this year, I would say two. I'm doing well this year. We all ride with the coach, the teammate doesn't matter but the important thing is to always be ready. I don't have a favourite midfield partner here. You just have to be always ready."
