AC Milan president, Paolo Scaroni, spoke to the microphones of 'Rai Gr Parlamento', about different topics.
Here are his words on:
The new stadium project:
"The new stadium in Milan is fundamental for the sporting performances of Milan and Inter. If you want to have teams that compete in Europe, you have to have stadiums that compete in Europe, which are therefore the same or better than those of the other teams we compete with."
He continues:
"Mayor Sala asked us for great sacrifices, we accepted them to start building the new stadium as soon as possible. Today we are moving in harmony and we want to proceed quickly to provide Milan with the most beautiful stadium in the world: this is the main objective we have."
Scaroni continued to talk about AC Milan's financial condition:
"Things are going in the right direction. All this is done by paying attention to costs, but also by an increase in revenues. I don't forget that just two years ago Milan had less than 200 million turnover. If we do not restore competitiveness to our teams, the sporting results can only be a consequence of this gap. Elliott? They are under obligation to close investments... I do not feel any orientation towards a sale, one day it will happen", said Scaroni, "but it is a very distant day I think."
