AC Milan returned to the UEFA Champions League after 7 long years. Unfortunately for the players, coach and fans, the European experience came to an end last night after losing at home against Liverpool.
Milan were handed another defeat in Champions League, but they can now at least look forward to the Serie A competition (and Italian cup). The aim is to gain entry to the European elite competition once again next season and fight for better results.
UEFA updated the club rankings yesterday after the matches and the standings see Milan come in the 39th position, as relayed by Calciomercato.com.
