AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli could renew his deal with the club. His contract runs out in June 2022 and is now seen as a very important part of Stefano Pioli's plan as he returned to be a regular starter after the injury of Simon Kjaer.
The talks are ongoing between the entourage of the former AS Roma defender and the Rossoneri management who would like to keep him for a few more years. However, there is one problem.
The issue regarding the renewal is the annual salary. As per Il Giorno, Romagnoli currently earns 5 million euros net per season without including the bonuses. But, it seems that the 26-year-old player may be willing to accept a discount.
The AC Milan directors, Paolo MAldini and Frederic Massara could reach an agreement with super agent Mino Raiola for a salary around 3.5 million euros per season, writes the source.
