AC Milan is attentive to the transfer market in France as the scouting department is aware that many talented players come from the French Ligue 1, or Ligue 2.
In this context, the Rossoneri management have been following an interesting profile from Ligue 2: AS Nancy's star central midfielder, Warren Bondo.
The player is 18 years old and managed to make 12 appearances between the league and cup competition with the senior team with one goal already registered to his name.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, in fact, had an agreement already with Warren Bondo. However, no deal was reached with the French club. They wanted 2 million euros while AC Milan were only willing to offer 700 thousand euros, given that his contract runs out in June 2022.
The Italian giants are still on Bondo and there have even been new contacts, but now there is a strong competition from La Liga defending champions Atlético Madrid and Everton from the Premier League.
Last summer, even Juventus were negotiating to sign the midfielder. The Bianconeri were looking to bring him to Italy and have him in their U-23 squad. But, the French club were convinced that they'd be able to renew their star's contract.
This was reported by Calciomercato.com who insist that AC Milan directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, will have to accelerate soon in order to beat the competition as Warren Bondo will be a good free transfer to complete.
