AC Milan are looking for a reinforcement as they want to provide a central defender to Stefano after the injury of Stefano Pioli. Many reports suggest that Sven Botman of Lille is the main target for the Rossoneri management.
The Dutch defender is liked by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. However, the club cannot meet the asking price of the French club which is rumoured to be between 25 to 30 million euros.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club directors are studying alternative ways to close a deal with Lille. There is talk of a paid loan with the right to exercise a buy-option. This deal being successful would be a great hit for the club in a sporting aspect since the 21-year-old defender Botman is a great talent and also on an economic level.
MilanPress.it adds that it would be difficult to convince Lille to sell their star because they play the Round of 16 of the Champions League against Chelsea in February.
