Tomorrow, the big Serie A match that many football fans will watch is AC Milan - Napoli. A fixture valid for matchday 18 at the San Siro venue.
Coach Spalletti spoke about his side's preparations and condition in view of facing Pioli's team. Here are his statements to the media:
"There are moments in football as in life when you are faced with obstacles. Sometimes they are bigger than usual and you don't have time to get around them, otherwise the road would be too long and hit us hard because then we have to, we want to go beyond, follow our path, and pursue our goals. With those who are there we can win this match. Let's play it for what our goal is, that is to bring home three points."
Spalletti spoke on his recent disqualification:
"I know very well that I have created problems for my players by having myself expelled because I cannot do without them. When someone is missing, I am in difficulty and I feel uncomfortable because I want to have them all close to me and I know how important everyone's presence is. I did not do the right thing and I penalised the team in these two games and the responsibility for the defeats is mine. It was bad to stay away from them, to see them fight on the pitch without me."
On AC Milan:
"I expect an AC Milan team as seen in the last two years or that I have seen in the work in general made by Pioli because beyond the moment it is the step he has taken in this long stretch of two years that has shown absolute qualities... I don't want to play against teams that have difficult moments, I want to play against strong teams because I am convinced that I have a team that can face strong teams. As for us tomorrow, we will have to play the game, be a strong, alive team."
On Lorenzo Insigne:
"Only a coach who has lost his mind could give up the qualities that Lorenzo Insigne has", said Napoli's boss Spalletti, "He is a good captain of a team. To return to the match against Empoli, I committed myself there. It was a mistake of making him play too long, I exceeded his availability, I took advantage of it. This is a quality that he has, he wants to help the team, but I should have reasoned correctly."
