AC Milan's Italian sporting director, Frederic Massara, has granted a brief interview to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia in order to discuss the transfer market window.
He started off by revealing the latest on Andrea Conti's move to Sampdoria:
"Conti's transfer to Sampdoria could be concluded tomorrow. The role of the central defender is our priority after Kjaer's injury and the Covid cases. If there is an opportunity to reinforce ourselves at incurred costs, then we will do it."
Massara on Sven Botman:
"I don't think Lille want to deprive themselves of Botman at the moment, there are many options under consideration, we will also talk with coach Pioli."
On Leao:
"Leao is an incredible talent. He has rare qualities. He has matured a lot and found continuity. We want to build the future of the team on him and on other players. We are working for the renewals of players who are growing a lot and are giving us a lot of satisfaction. We have to monitor all roles for the future, in the immediate future I believe that we will not do operations in attack", said Massara, "If there are opportunities, the club will be ready. A club like Milan always comes first. We need to make choices based on our priorities and do things sustainably. Milan has always been impeccable in this."
