It is time to talk about Coppa Italia and what awaits AC Milan tonight. The squad of Stefano Pioli will be facing Shevchenko's Genoa at the iconic San Siro venue.
Shevchenko and his assistant, Tassotti, will be ready to try their best and create a surprising result for everyone as they will compete against the red and black faithful as the underdogs. The first time this season these two sides faced each other was back on December 1st when Milan grabbed 3 precious points in the Serie A standings by scoring 3 goals away from home thanks to a brace of Junior Messias.

Now, Genoa's coaching staff and players have a good idea about the club they're going to face again as they will be doing their best in avoiding mistakes they've done earlier and create an upset in the cup competition and go through to the next round.
For AC Milan, however, this is also an important competition. Pioli will try to have the right squad deployed while aiming for the victory. But, it will not be easy as the other team want to turn things around for themselves and start a good momentum.
Pioli values this competition and thinks that it is a good opportunity to give some minutes to players who have featured less than others such as Ante Rebic who is back from injury and Daniel Maldini. This is what he said yesterday in an interview granted to SportMediaset:
"For Rebic, it is an opportunity for him to put extra minutes in his legs. (Daniel Maldini) is working well and is growing a lot. He is a more complete player than last year, tomorrow could be a good opportunity for him too."
Unfortunately, the Rossoneri will not be able to count on Zlatan Ibrahimovic at any moment during the clash tonight because the Swede is disqualified due to the red card shown to him last season in a cup fixture against Inter. But, Olivier Giroud should be available to lead the attack as he could be supported by Ante Rebic, Daniel Maldini and Alexis Saelemaekers.
As for Genoa, they will be relying on key players as well such as the promising loanee of Juventus Nicolo Rovella as well as Caicedo.
Here is the probable formation of the visitors:
3-5-2: Semper; Vanheusden, Vasquez, Masiello; Ghiglione, Melegoni, Rovella, Hernani, Hefti; Caicedo, Destro
For Pioli's AC Milan side, this is the likely formation:
