Milan have found themselves short-staffed in the center of defense following the year ending injury sustained by Simon Kjaer. Maldini and Massara have been searching the January market for a viable reinforcement to the defense and have explored many options. Milan have been linked to the Manchester United and Ivorian defender Eric Bailly most recently.
Reports have circulated claiming that the player has approved of a loan move to Milan for the remainder of the season. Sky Sport UK has reported today, however, that the English club has no intention of loaning the player out this season. The club actually have no intention of letting any player leave on loan this January.
While reports were initially positive regarding the possibility of Eric Bailly in a red and black kit this season, that possibility now appears remote. Another door closes for Milan this window and the club have to look at options away from the Manchester club.
