AC Milan are still hoping to sign Sven Botman of Lille as he appears to be on top of their wish-list for strengthening the defensive department.
The French club, for their part, are holding on tightly to their star centre-back and would not prefer to lose him now in the middle of a season.
As per Di Marzio, the Rossoneri club is ready to block Botman's signing now and leave him at Lille before joining the club at Milanello in the summer, in what would be a deal similar to the one made with Bordeaux over Yacine Adli.
If Botman is signed in view of June's window, AC Milan could still choose to go after one more defender to join now in the winter. on Monday there will be a new contact with Tottenham for the potential signing of Japhet Tanganga. But, there is also the idea of Eric Bailly from Manchester United and Abdou Diallo from PSG.
