In this season, many have criticised the San Siro'spitch, starting from Stefano Pioli on more than one occasion, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Inter's stars Lautaro Martinez and his teammate Edin Dzeko without forgetting Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp besides others.
Talking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the groundsman of the San Siro stadium, Giovanni Castelli, has confirmed that there are new plans to have a better playing field:
"Don't worry, we are ready to start with the work of replacing and re-sewing the pitch. The derby will have the turf that such an important and spectacular challenge deserves. The calendar was too full of events and the field suffered... We understand the discomfort but we can guarantee that after the break it will be like playing on a new pitch."
