Yesterday AC Milan Women’s First Team failed to get three points against Sassuolo. The spoils were shared in a goalless draw despie the Neroverde receing a red card in the 14th minute.
Right now, the Rossonere are in the 4th place in the league standings with 32 points after 15 fixtures while Inter are trailing behind with 14 games played and 29 points collected. The Nerazzurre play today later against AS Roma.
Coach Maurizio Ganz, spoke to Milan TV about the draw and said the following words:
“The level is getting higher and higher we have seen two teams that want to qualify for the Champions League, with great physical, technical and tactical qualities. We saw a good match. It is increasingly difficult to face all the teams not only those in the lead but also those who fight for different objectives.”
He added:
“Today we were in an emergency, with injuries of Piemonte and Guagni, Adami who was not feeling well, Grimshaw who returned from the national team with a strong knee contusion, Sara Thrige who is not available and in addition Longo who has felt bad and I have not been able to put her on the field. We have to roll up our sleeves and think about the next match against Napoli…”
On the standings:
“We are three points behind Sassuolo, there are many direct clashes, we will see that it will happen Inter and Roma. But there are still many games to be played and anything can happen. But, if we enter the field like against Sassuolo, the teams that will face us will have to be prepared very well because Milan is ready to make the leap in quality.”
