Juventus president, Andrea Agnelli, still hopes for the Super League breakaway project to come to reality as he insisted today that the idea is still alive.
The Italian 46-year-old spoke to the Financial Times Forum: "The Super League was not a failure. We have been hearing projects of potential breakaway leagues ever since I was a teenager."
"Last year was the first time that not one, not two, not three, but 12 clubs made a very important statement that was a profound alarm to the system."
Agnelli continued:
"This is a collective work of 12 teams it is not one person or two persons. We have 12 people that signed a 150-page contract which by the way still binds 11 of 12 of these clubs. There are a number of clauses within the contract so everyone will operate within the contract they have signed.
