AC Milan central defender Simon Kjaer, who is out due to injury and shall be back only next season, has granted an interview to Ekstra Bladet. The Dane defender spoke about his unfortunate knee injury and said the following:
"I am where I need to be with my knee. Rehabilitation is going well. I am very happy with the progress. Going back to Milanello is always a good feeling."
On his return:
"Soon I will enter the phase where the knee will allow me to do everything and then I can really grow physically. I do not doubt for a second that I will come back even stronger. I work with the whole body, but the knee determines the rhythm."

He continued:
"I work with mobility: back, ankles, hips, knees, everything. So this is how I choose to see it: an opportunity to strengthen the body."
Kjaer concluded:
"I get the most out of every single day, so everything is constantly optimized. Then I move, and that's how I feel now, that is how I work. I tell myself: I must be better today than yesterday."
