Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 40 years old but the club's management is always grateful for his presence on the pitch, in the locker room and in training to guide his fellow teammates. The Swede has not yet taken a final decision regarding his future as a footballer.
In today's edition, La Gazzetta dello Sport have discussed the importance of Ibrahimovic in the Rossoneri squad. But, they also highlighted that he may not be staying at Milanello as a player for too long.
The Milanese newspaper wrote that that the former Juventus, Inter, Manchester United and PSG star could be planning to hang up his boots at the end of the season if Milan wins the Scudetto. He wants to leave the football world with one more trophy to his name. Once he is retired he would stay at Milan and join the club as an ambassador. That is one scenario that could happen.
The second scenario, however, is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not retire at the end of the current season and instead extends his contract by one more season where he would earn a post-tax salary around 3 million euros.
