The AC Milan club has been linked for some time now with a move to sign Dutch defender of Lille, Sven Botman who is 22 years old. The former Ajax talent has a contract with his current team that is valid until June 2025. This season so far, he played 28 games across all competitions and even managed to contribute from his position with 3 goals and one assist.
According to multiple previous reports, AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to bring the player in question to Milanello especially since Alessio Romagnoli's future seems to be away from the club.
Now, as per Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini contacted Sven Botman's agent to confirm once again the Rossoneri's will to close a deal and sign the central defender.
In fact, as the red and black side of the city of Milan will be in the Champions League next season, there will be enough financial resources to make the deal go through. We can expect important updates in the next few weeks.
