AC Milan club techican area director, Paolo Maldini, is set to try to sign an important profile to boost the squad of Stefano Pioli for the next summer mercato.
AC Milan are looking to reinforce the team after going through some difficult periods that clearly show the need to add much needed depth. In this case, it seems that the club management is willing to bring an important addition to Milanello straight from Fiorentina's home.
Alvaro Odriozola to AC Milan?
The player in question is currently playing for La Viola. But, he is on loan from Spanish giants Real Madrid: we are talking about Alvaro Odriozola. His loan expires at the end of the current season and his deal with Los Blancos ends on June 2024.
The right-footed defender, formerly at Bayern Munich, is having a good season with Fiorentina who do have a buy-option on the player's card. But, Calciomercatoweb.it claim that Paolo Maldini is monitoring the situation closely and could try to enter the scene by letting go of playmaker Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid (who happens to please the Fiorentina staff) if La Viola in return decide to not exercise a buy-option for the right-back while Real Madrid do not mind selling to Milan.
The truth of the news:
As Milan Reports understands, though, this idea seems a little far-fetched and besides, AC Milan's priorities right now are to secure a natural right-winger, a midfielder and a striker without forgetting a centre-back who would replace the probable exit of Alessio Romagnoli.
