AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, enjoyed a great win against Lazio tonight. Olivier Giroud scored the equaliser for the Rossoneri in the 50th minute while Sandro Tonali found the winner in extra time. The Rossoneri showed a great mentality and thir strength as a unit.

On the victory, Pioli said the following words to the media:
"I'm proud of my players. The match was difficult and we approached it badly, against a quality team. There was a risk that it could end differently and badly, but we were lucid and eager. The result is heavy, but from here to the end it will always be like this. And we should always live the matches with this ferocity and with this competitive spirit."
Stefano Pioli added:
"The greatest satisfaction is when you give it all and get it all back. We are experiencing strong emotions, with our fans who are always fantastic."
On what he told the players:
"I told them that they are lions. It is not the smartest animal, nor the fastest nor the largest. But, a lion knows it has to eat and it wakes up hungry every morning. We have to play every game with the hunger to win."
On the form of the team
"Our goal was to improve last championship. We are already with five points, but now we want to try to stay ahead until the last day. But high-level performance will still be needed. At this moment in the championship all aspects are important, but the mentality is crucial. I don't think there is a team less motivated than the other."
Pioli on Zlatan Ibrahimovic being a factor for the Scudetto:
"I hope he is. I believe that he has an indomitable will and hunger, he can only help us."
