Franck Kessié's future seemed written already...
Franck Kessié's contract with AC Milan is due to expire at the end of the current season. The negotiations for a new contract with the Rossoneri ended a while ago as the gap between the club and player's entourage was too much to close.

The former defensive midfielder of Atalanta seemed to be on his way to FC Barcelona with reports claiming that he already signed on a pre-contract.
As reported by the Spanish outlet Sport, the blaugrana club would be struggling with the usual problems related to the wage bill which is now too high for the rules in Spanish league. Therefore, Kessié's arrival to the Camp Nou does not seem a sure thing, at least for now.

The boss of FC Barcelona, Xavi, is still keen on welcoming Franck Kessié into the team for next season. The transfer should not be canceled. However, the Barcelona management will have to come up with a new solution: the idea is offload some unwanted players and let go those who have expiring contracts or are currently out on loan. This is in the hope of making some room for the newcomers.
