AC Milan Women's team lost the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final competition against Juventus 6-1. The heavy defeat made the Rossonere's chances really slim. But, that did not stop them from trying to get a win.
Yesterday, Lindsey Thomas opened the score in the 9th minute. Valentina Bergamaschi made it a double in the 49th minute. However, the Bianconere made scored to make it 2-1. Bergamaschi made it a brace for herself in the 57th minute. But, not even a win arrived as Juventus executed their own 'remontada' in the match by scoring three goals in a row in the 68th minute, 78th, 81st and finally in the 87th minute to seal their double victory. Tucceri Cimini made life for her Rossonere teammates even harder with a red card she received around the 79th minute. The game ended 5-3 for the red and black faithful away from home.
Now, it is time for Maurizio Ganz' team to focus on the next game in the league which will be a derby versus Inter on May 7. The loss and exit of the Cup must be forgotten by AC Milan Women team. Now, the attention must be on the coming challenge.
