Former AC Milan midfielder, Andrea Bertolacci, expressed himself this way to Tuttomercatoweb.com's microphones about his stint with the Rossoneri:
"It's difficult to explain. I suffered a lot during the Rossoneri years, I had several injuries and I was not used to it. In the first four or five years of my career, I only had a small stop, nothing serious. From there, a difficult moment began, when I found space then I hurt myself. When I had the possibility to return I stopped again, so I had to start all over again. It was not easy. Milan is a club that asks a lot from you, they want to win."
He added:
"Genoa? I played many good games there and I returned with confidence. Then, I had a coach, Gattuso, who really wanted me, convinced me and almost forced me to stay. Unfortunately, there were seasons of upheaval, first with Berlusconi and Galliani, then Barbara, the Chinese, I returned and there was Elliott, it was special."
Bertolacci concluded:
"I wasn't used to getting hurt. The last year, there were promises, but they were not kept."
