Former AC Milan defender, Rodrigo Ely, who is currently playing for UD Almeria in La Liga 2, granted an interview to GianlucaDiMarzio.com as he spoke about his past to the Rossoneri:
" It was like living in the PlayStation. The day before I was playing at my house and the next I was there with my idols, some of the best players in history. They have been spectacular years. Thiago Silva was the best around in those days, but he was also a very quiet guy and he knew how to convey that tranquility to you. He could see I had the qualities, but I was nervous at times, things didn't turn out the way I wanted, and he knew how to calm me down. For me, a child, it was very important."
The Brazilian defender Rodrigo Ely, who is 28 years old also spoke about his first training sessions with Milan:
"The first training sessions were very complicated. I think of the first times when they put me to do specific tactical work... In Brazil this did not exist, it was as if they spoke Chinese to me! For a defender, the years in Italy are a very important baggage, you carry it with you throughout your career, it is like mastering the defence. I'm sorry for how it ended, I was hoping for a different ending, but I still watch Milan, always. Scudetto? They have worked very well in recent years, they deserve."
