Romelu Lukaku spent perhaps one of his best seasons, if not the best of his career, in Serie A with Inter. The Belgian striker returned to the Premier League in the previous summer. However, he is not finding the form he used to have in Italy. This is why newspapers started speculating about his future and even linked him with a move to the Rossoneri, especially if new owners acquire the club.
The player's agent, Federico Pastorello, spoke to those at La Repubblica and said the following words:
"For the parameters of the transfer, no one could have expected a situation like this. I don't discuss the technical choices, but it is obvious that there was a problem. The numbers, however, must be weighed: he is the best scorer of the team, with a low playing time compared to his teammates. The situation must be carefully evaluated, now we have to defend our place in the Champions League, there is the FA Cup final: Romelu is focused on this, we haven't talked about anything else."
Lukaku to Milan or Inter? The agent replied with the following:
"Much rumours for nothing. He has the club (Inter) and fans in his heart, he has never hidden it like the love for Anderlecht where he would like to end his career. But, we cannot hypothesize negotiations. Chelsea have defined the sale of the club, we do not know the interlocutors, let alone if we can hypothesise talks with Inter or Milan."
