Speaking at a press conference, the Italian-American businessman who is the owner of Fiorentina, Rocco Commisso, spoke of Serie A football and said:
"I hope I can always improve. However, there are problems and it is difficult to compete with teams that have 2-3 times higher earnings than ours. Juventus in recent years have put 700 million on the market and today its stock market value is 800 million. Suning has lost control of his company, has a lot of debt and another company may take over in the coming months."
Cimmisso added:
"AC Milan will be sold but it is not said that a lot of money was put by Mr. Li who lost 500 million. On Rome many have talked about the great work done. But after the arrival of the Friedkins they arrived seventh and then sixth, only one point above us. They spent a lot but reaching a placement a little better than ours which was a phenomenal success: we must be proud."
Commisso concluded:
"The goal is to reach the Champions League in the future but I'm happy to have finished seventh. I hope you understand what I wanted to say in this conference, to analyse the situations of the other teams as well."
