La Gazzetta dello Sport have confirmed the anticipation of La Repubblica yesterday: Gerry Cardinale is in Milano to find an agreement and finalise the deal with Elliott Management Corporation to purchase the Rossoneri club. The deal could be concluded in a matter of days, then the parties will procceed with signing binding contracts and that's when the official announcements will arrive. As for the transfer of shares, it will take some time to be completed.

According to the same newspaper, Elliott will remain as minority shareholders in the club and now stand to collect around 1.3 billion euros. As for the new stadium project, there are two options: San Siro and the Sesto San Giovanni. RedBird owner and founder Gerry Cardinale knows the San Siro area and has also visited the Sesto San Giovanni area as well.
