AC Milan's tactician Stefano Pioli spoke to 'Che Tempo Che Fa' on Rai 3 about the Scudetto achievement and his current mood:
"I'm in Forte dei Marmi with my family. I am resting and recovering my energy. Now my chant is everywhere. It is an incredible emotion. The fans were enthusiastic and gave us so many emotions. My mother is happy, she has always been tenacious, the most critical of the family. She gave me a lot of advice. Ancelotti? He is a legend, I congratulate him. He has a great ability to get inside the heads of footballers. The most rewarding aspect is the relationship with the fans. I am myself in everything I do. I put passion and enthusiasm and they recognized me from the beginning."
What is the most difficult moment?
"Most difficult moment? The defeat in the Italian Cup derby, our calendar was the most difficult and being able to win them all after that was wonderful. We didn't start with the underdogs, we weren't the strongest but we became. The medal? They returned it to me the next day. We are the youngest Milan ever to win a Scudetto. Both the club and my players have been good. The club's policy has yielded important results. Zlatan was looking forward to surgery. He's better. He played little but his contribution helped us to grow because he is a champion and manages to convey his mentality to all his team-mates. He is the nicest smartest person I have met in the world of football. Future? He still has a lot to give, I believe and hope that he will be there again next year", said Pioli.
Pioli then concluded:
"All the players and members of the club gave their all. In a season there are different opinions but we have always confronted each other. Maldini? We are competitive again and will continue to do so in the future with the managers. Market objectives? With the management we are already addressing these ideas in view of next season. Leao is a great player and I really think he will stay with us. I hope to work a lot more with him. Referee errors? It is part of the football game. We have focused more on performance and what we can improve on. You have to accept everything in sport, it always takes respect. It's great to be confronted with such young guys. It's not easy but it's nice because they keep me young. Everyone has their own difficulties and it's nice to be helped on and off the pitch to make them complete. In the next few days I will do my bike route that I promised. I have few training but I will do it."
