The AC Milan club is going through a very delicate moment right now. It is true that a Scudetto is added to the trophy cabinet. But, Elliott Management Corporation, which owns the Rossoneri club, may be selling majority of the shares to RedBird Capital Partners.
Now, speculation about how the club will look like under the new potential ownership is ongoing by the fans and media alike, especially now during this summer as we approach the transfer market window.
Former Italian footballer, who is now a pundit for Rai Sport, Daniele Adani, has spoken with Radio Rossonera and suggested in his interview that AC Milan looks at one profile in particular to add more dynamism to the attacking department:
"To dream, the best player to take on the right, to get back to the left flank's level, is, I think, Antony from Ajax. You asked me to shoot high, I'm going ... (laughs). De Ketelaere is also an excellent player, good and technical. Ready for Serie A? He is growing. Antony is a little ahead, he is already practically a starter for Brazil. I could also say Raphinha (Leeds, ed), but they are players who cost money. But, AC Milan proved that when money does not arrive, ideas do arrive."
Antony is a 22-year-old Brazilian left-footed right-winger. His contract with Ajax is valid until June 2025. The former Sao Paolo star has scored 12 goals and made 12 assists this season after 33 appearances. According to Transfermarkt, he should be valued at around 35 million euros.
